"The Almost Moon" by Alice Sebold is a very strange book. I really liked "The Lovely Bones," also by Alice so I definitely had high expectations for this book. I'm sorry to say I was very disappointed. This book is about a woman, Helen who murders her mother (accidently on purpose) and then deals with it in a very strange way. I don't know, I couldn't ever feel any empathy for Helen & that made this book a hard sell for me. I can't recommend this book ... what a bummer.
